Bush DVHRS02 SOUND FAULT?

I have a bush DVHRSO2 combined dvd and video recorder, there a feed back noise everytime the dvd tray is opened or a video is ejected. This has been to a bush repairer twice who tells me It is not worth repairing.

I dont want to buy another, any suggestions.
