Usually, changing the transformer effects a complete cure. Occasionally, manufactures modify the design of thier transformers and are supply a kit comprising of transformer and additional components to improve future reliability. Other causes of arcing are incorrect regulated power supply voltage supplying the line output circuits or condensation/dampness.
