my cd changer in jaguar x type saying cdc error its an alpine 6 cd changer. I am sick ND TIRED without music and some one said to me its the laser that needs to be replaced. any help will be highly appreciated.

Try taking out the cd cartridge and very carefully with a long q-tip wipe the lens. A few wipes out to do the trick. If you have an alpine head unit, you might need to hit the reset button on the head unit. If this does not work there is an Alpine repair place in Long Beach California which will charge $95.00 to fix it. Hope this helps. eric762@hotmail.com
