I done a white wash and then error 9 come up so we checked book and its says to cancel programme and to start again we have tried this till comes up checked front filter and bak to see if blocked nothing it drains away but wont spin or use any other programmes due to this error 9 code Its only 3 months old
does anyone have any ideas why this is happening thanks

Are the programme module plug and play as i have just got a new board but seems not to be working correctly. Is there a setup involved after replacing a program module?

its a pity Hoover cant realise that there control board is sub standard ,with a short life span.With a replacement fitted for £109 after 13 months from new ,wish i knew this 13 months ago.

I know this is too late for your reply but may help others who search this fault.

Yep I had to have an engineer out to repair this fault. My machine is 2yrs 4mths old, the part that went wrong was the programme module. He said that this particular module normally failed within the first year (!), and hadn't known one to last as long as mine. They are around £60. The replacement one was obviously an improved version. Fingers crossed. As it happens when my machine broke down I didn't have a warranty, the options were £95 for a call out or £96 for a year's warranty. No brainer huh?

error 9 usually means that there is a problem with a triac on the control board controlling motor action. best call out Hoover if it is under 1 year old it should be a free repair, if it is over 1 year old the you would have to pay the call out fee which is currently £96.50 but this includes any parts that are needed to repair the fault and also includes VAT
