My memory card has split and therefore I cannot access any of the photos. Is there anyway it can be repaired or more importantly the photos saved?

By Split you mean snapped in half? Im not sure theres much you can do, if you cant access it theres no way to transfer the photos, and you cant just glue it back together. On the chip there are connections that need to be met and glue or tape may not allow them to meet/connect.
