shower control change?

Can I swop over my existing Mira 88 shower control for a more modern Mira Excel thermostat shower control which I bought several years ago and never installed it in my London house. I have moved to a bungalow which has a Danfos pump circulating the hot water. I'm changing the step in shower for a walk in type and want to replace the existing Mira 88 shower control [fittings is the same] with the Mira Excel.
The existing one works ok but would like to put this more modern one in.
Replies a.s.a.p please as the shower comes next Monday. Thanks. Bob.

they are compatible, if its an exposed valve the pipe centres on both should be between 149-153mm, bulit in valves are a bit more work, but compatible also. the excel will also work fine with a booster pump also
