Breadmaker reads "REST" panasonic SD BT55P It does not start?

Can it be Capacitor or Circuit board? Has anyone had this problem before? Can someone tell me how to test and or get new parts?It's a great panasonic SD BT55P breadmaker...A Shame to throw out..Can someone give me a helping hand?Thanks Murray

Before you throw it out, you might consider selling some of the parts !
I'm looking for a dough blade and would love to buy yours ,in the event that your maching is not fixable.

It is supposed to "rest" when first started; the manual says that the machine is warming the pan and the ingredients before starting the process. Hope this is of use to you!

Manual indicates that REST on display is normal. It is a pre-warm stage. Sequence is REST - KNEAD - RISE - BAKE. If operating indicator light (red) and REST does not display then 1. unit is uplugged 2. bread pan not placed properly 3. self-resetting motor protector activated. Hope this helps.
