I am having problems downloading programs to my computer, someone advised me that the windows installer is not installed.
They advised me that the installer icon would be showing on my desktop, but I cant see it anywhere as explained.
What I am trying to achieve is confirm that I have windows installer installed.
This is part of a long time problem, which started when I ran the windows XP reload disc to reload the operating system.
From that date I noticed that I can not upload pictures to my Ebay listing, it just stays on the Ebay upload timer.
During one of the Ebay support checks I noticed that the Java program would not download, due to the message MSIEXEEC.EXE-Ordinal not found, with the following message
"The ordinal 280 could not be located in the dynamic link library
msi.dll "
It was suggested that the windows installer was not installed correctly, and to after the download I should double click on the icon to install it on my computer.
As I mentioned I can not locate an icon for windows installer on my computer, only it is listed in the currently installed programs in the Add/ Remove programs list.
