Hotpoint WMA54 overflows from detergent drawer?

Washing machine, Hotpoint Aquarius WMA54, works with no problems on programmes A to E, but on programmes F to L there is an overflow of water from the detergent drawer when the programme reaches RINSE & SPIN. It floods the kitchen.

Why does this happen when programmes A to E work 100%?There is no logic. If there is a blockage somewhere then surely all rinse and spin programmes would overflow through the drawer, not just programmes F to L

The machine has a hot and cold fill. Any ideas?

I had this problem but it did it everytime the machine emptied. under the drum is a rubber pipe with a ball float in it.Check to see if nothing is jamming the float and stopping the flow of water to the drain pump.
