leaking storage tank (galvanised steel) in attic?

There is a very small leak in the tank, that takes about a week
to put an inch of water into a small bucket.
Anyway to repair without replacing tank ?

If you know where the leak is you could try sealing it with 'Milliput' available from hardware shops. You mix the two compounds together and it is like putty which then sets rock hard. It is waterproof and easy to use. Even if you used this as a temporary measure it's worth a try - only costs about £3. Good luck!
