i cant get the platter off! the lil horse shoe clip wont come off! help! my turntable was going to fast and i made the mistake of dislodging the belt, and now i need to remove the platter and fix the belt. bahhh

You need a small flat bladed jewellers type screwdriver to flip the circlip off. Be careful to "catch it" before it flies right across the room.

The Platter might have seized on slightly, but a swift vertical movement will set it free. There is nothing else restraining it.
