how do I stop web text appearing in peculiar font ?

I have many fonts installed on my pc, (windows XP professional), one of them being Lightfoot (sort of 1920 style). This is 'grabbed' by the text on various website pages (weather forecasts, etc) and I need to know how to stop it. Internet Connections>general>fonts doesn't do it. The problem only started a few days ago, no clue why.

You didn't say if you were using IE or Foxfire or whatever. For IE 7 you can go into the tools>accessibility button just to the right of the fonts button. It will allow you to "ignore" website fonts. Or you can setup your own .css stylesheet to override websites.

Another possibility is to uninstall the font if your not using it. Then the webbrowser will choose something else.

Foxfire also has the ability to set fonts under the tools>content tab/buttons.
