How do I fix the tape that came off the reel of my audio cassette?

I have a small audio cassette like the kind from answering machines or little recorders for note taking. When I went to rewind it the tape came off of one side so it is now totally on one reel. Is there anyway I can fix it?

You should be able to...Assuming the tape is at one end of a playing side i.e the leader is showing; check if the spool has a removeable insert like most standard audio tapes. You can clip this out and then place the tape over the now exposed section, and clip the insert back in place. Obviously if the tape housing is sealed, you will have to carefully cut it open, then sacrifice another old tape for the housing!
