I cant get my Kenwood FP520 apart to change the belt?
I have a Kenwood FP520 with a broken belt. I have removed the 5 base screws on the bottom and found the tip to use a flat balde screwdriver through the vent underneath to loosen off the gear that drives the blender.... but the thing still wont come apart! There is something under where the food processor goes that seems to be stopping it coming apart . Any ideas anyone ?

You need to remove the blender drive coupling from the end of the motor shaft. It has a left hand thread. To stop the shaft rotating whilst you unscrew the coupling you will find a screwdriver slot in the bottom end of the motor spindle, accessible through a slot in the plastic baseplate. You will also have to release the motor from the steel subframe to fit the new belt. BEST OF LUCK!

undo the two cross head screws you can see through the base of the unit that holds the moter onto the metal chassis plate, then the base will lift off.

I have exactly the same problem and hope that someone can provide an answer.
