i've been away for a week and a previously fine working washing machine now won't start. It accepts all the programming info but press the green button saying "start" and it replies "no".

any ideas?

Give it a smack for being so unhelpful.....Some machines test the motor rotation on power up and if this is abnormal they throw a wobbler. Check out the carbon brushes in the motor. Theyre graphite blocks which transfer mains power to the copper segments of the motor - located at the other end of the motor from the drive pulley. Also check valve inlet filters, main filter, pump, and pressure switch.
