My Samsung does not have a control knob just a row of liights, 1 to 5, where would the thermostat be in this case?

the thermostat is ususally in the unit with the control knob attached. ( the control knob is actually attaced directly to the thermostat) I have just replaced the thermostat in my whirlpool fridge. If your fridge is not getting cold at all it could be something more serious. If you find the thermostat try removing the wires that connect to it and tape the wires togethter (short it out) Then switch the power back on. If the fridge works and cools then it is the thermostat. If not it could be something more serious.
