printer will 'copy' , so is working , but now will not print documents from laptop . All conections in place , no error messages anywhere . ?

If you have more than one printer installed on you lap top make sure the printer you are using is the default one.
go to control panel select printers, right click on printer icon and select make default printer.
sometimes installing certain programmes puts a selected printer version in your printers folder.
