my youngest daughter threw my eldest daughters nintendo ds lite in the bath?

my youngest daughter threw my eldest daughters nintendo ds lit in the bath! it was only in there a matter of minutes and i dried it out the best i could.
it now comes on flashes and goes straight off. it charges but still will not come on. have tried nother battery and does not come on.
can anyone tell me if it is repairable? and if so how much roughtly it will cost? or would it work out cheaper to buy a new one? thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi. it sounds like water has got between the 2 small pieces of glass (the screen)there is also a piece of plastic between the 2 pieces(which give you the colours), i would just buy a new one or just price a new screen up. thank god it wernt plugged in at the time.hope this helps in some way.
