Wirquin Dual Flush Help?

I have purchased a Wirquin dual flush and when I flush the cable does not return to the original position which means the cistern does not fill and the water just runs straight through to the toilet.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thank you for your time.

I had a problem with the wirquin push button not returning to initial position. Dismantled it and replaced the spring in it. The spring was corroded. Replaced it by a piece of spring covered with plastic. Got that from a spring note book

had the same problem which managed to temporarily fix by rerouting the cable. however the cable has now broken. Are there replacement parts for this

i had the same problem which was rectified by making sure that the gap between the two buttons lines up with the groove on the outer casing

I just fixed a similar problem. The cable probably does not run free. Either re-route it, or weight the mechanism that returns and stops the flowing water, (sorry, not a plumber don't know what it's called). This is what I did and it works a charm.

Richard,
Many thanks for purchasing our Wirquin Jollyflush, your problem has just been brought to our attention, The Jollyflush cable will stick open if the cable is stressed, The Jollyflush has a bayonet cap fitting (like a light bulb), you may wish to move it around to the next setting and realease the cable, If you should require further assistance plase call our UK office, 01934 733320

I have the same problem. Rectified the problem temporarily with an elastic band. Open the lid, wrap an elastic band around the open cable control arms, which will act as a return spring.

I have exactly the same problem, has got worse in last week, looks like a problem with the cable not operating smoothly due to the curve of the cable (we have a narrow cistern).cannot see how to replace cable on the flush mechanism though.
