How can I fix my Vokera Combi Boiler?

My daughter has a Vokera Combi Boiler and can only get hot water when the central heating is on, also the water pressure is very poor. Also the boiler keeps loosing pressure.

the loss of water pressure is mainly due to the leaking rad but if the boiler has not been serviced correctly, probably the exspantion vessle is out of charge and this exagerates the pressure loss in the heating system. The domestic water flow switch has no diaphragm in it but it does have a minimum flow rate to call for demand, mind you there is a flow rate restricter on the right hand side this may have some debris in it. sounds like you need a good combi-man round there.

If this is a Linea 24 then prepare for failure - The same part has failed on mine four times. It is a rubber seal (301185) probably costing less than one penny that connects to the diverter valve motor (E06326) through to the three way valve. The seal fails, water seeps into the diverter motor and it fails. This leaves you without hot water or heating. I have spent over five hundred pounds having this fixed over the last few years. Call Vokera on 08443 910999 and ask for Lindsay Walker.

the problem you have is that there is a filter on the pipe which goes into the heat exchanger being blocked the best thing to do is remove the filter to do this turn of the cold water main going into the boiler above the valve there is a black hot water flow switch loosen the nut at the top of the flow switch and completely loosen the nut at the top of the pipe entering the heat exchanger there you will find the filter remove and reassemble in the reverse order

The boiler is a Vokera Compact 24 model fitted in June 2005. Could a leaking radiator cause this as I think there is a small leak at the top valve of one of the radiators.

Pressure loss due to leak on system and i suspect diaphragm gone causing hot water switch to not make..
