How do I remove mould caused by condensation from a curtain?

There is mould on the lining of my curtains caused by condensation from the window. What is the best way to remove the stain without damaging the curtain?

I've just found a wonderful product made in NZ, called Curtain Magic Mould Remover and they ship it internationally - www.curtainmagic.co.nz

I had expensive quotes for my new curtains which had thick mould on (had problems with HRV) and was so upset after we spent over $2000 on new curtains. Dry cleaners as well also costing alot, they gave me the option of treatment that would get rid of the mould but turn the curtains pink at the back,, and if it got on the front bleach it or 2nd option most of the stain is left!!

Tried the Curtain Magic Mould Remover spray, did it carefully outside on the line seperating the lining from the front. This stuff is MAGIC and very cheap.

I could not be happier and just can’t believe the results, no matter how thick or stainned its vanished, few places I re-applied that day but you would never tell they had been stained. So not only did I save heaps of money but saved my curtains and man did I feel better .. wanted them to look good for if we resell later.

The problem is that the mould stained linings are attached to dry clean only curtains. Dry cleaning will not remove mould. Unstitch the linings for a couple of feet, spray the mould with mildew remover and immerse bottom of lining in strong solution of domestic bleach. Remove when no more stain will disperse and wash treated part by hand in normal washing powder solution. Rinse, dry and iron. Don't be disappointed if not totally effective. If the mould has been present for some time NOTHING will remove it completely.

I tried to spray dettol mould and mildew remover on the lining and guess what it did remove the black spots completely but it does bleach the curtains if it goes on them . so try n put thick towel that you dont want to use again between the curtain and the lining n then spray this dettol. leave it for only a little while and the wash at 60. it should remove it.
