I have changed the lamp on my Panasonic microwave a883 which was working without lamp now with new lamp it is not working I have made sure the cover is fitted correctly and understand what a magnatron can do to one if the cover is not fitted. I think there must be a trip when cover taken off but cannot see any reed relay or any other thing to case non working. the microwave haeds water but turn table and lamp do not work.

Sounds like a door switch out of order. Best not to try to fix yourself as position of switches is critical. There is no trip switch operated by removal of covers.
