is it the fret itself or is it the neck that is out of whack, or both.
If the neck is warped or a little twisted you can probably fix it yourself, go to any guitar .com site and they will more than likely have a step by step tutorial with video even, if it is the fret itself you might be able to reshape it if there is enough of it left, again they would have the step by steps for that , but if you gotta yank it take it to someone who knows WTF but only if its worth it to ya because it probably aint cheap (if you got a squire or something just get a new one)
