No Hot Water?

I have a problem with the hot water, it is only hot when I switch the heating on but as soon as I turn the heating off then I have no hot water.

I would suspect a slight perforation in the hot water diaphragm, it is not moving far enough forward to operate the switch.
this is the easiest and cheapest first option
