My Indesit W123s washer only works on programme 8?

My Indesit W123s washer only works on programme 8. if i try any or the other programmes the water fills but then the dial just keeps clicking and going around. very occasionally one of the other programmes apart from 8 will work. Can you help?

ok - mine too. This is clearly a design fault guys. Anyone solved it yet? I am happy to call an engineer, but I don't wish to be taken as a mug - if know what the problem is first then I know what to expect to repair it!

You have a problem with either the heater or the thermistor(temperature sensor).
