need dvd part, optical mechanism for denon dvm-1815, is this difficult to repair? magnolia wants $300 for part and labor and the dvd player retails for less now a days.

This problem exists everywhere except USA and Japan. My DVD-1600 became out of order almost immediately after warranty expiration. Nowhere to find spares, nowhere to repair. Finally have to purchase a new player... certainly not from Denon. Never will buy ANYTHING from Denon brand.
