How to remove a 1978 c. Kenmore Spacesaver Microwave?
This is a really old Kenmore microwave, its black, was the biggest one available when it first came out, in 1978 or 1979. It fits above the range. We CAN'T get it out. We've removed all of the visible screws. There are no screws we can find in the small cabinets above it.
the only thing broke was the start button on pad,can just this pad button be fixed,of the whole microwave have o be replaced?

My hubby and I just removed our Kenmore Spacesaver Microwave. Very big and black not sure the year it was made. It was in a case. You will need to remove the vent cover at the top and the light cover at the bottom. Unscrew all the little screws on the top and bottom (there was 2 metal L-brackets on the top front on both sides that contained 2 screws each, don't forget these). You will need to pull it forward. Ours was on tracks on the side. After pulling forward we had to unhook all the electrical wires (from case to motor) otherwise it would not come out of the case. We had about 6 bolts that held the case onto the wall. We did not have a cabinet above the microwave for it to be anchored to. Good luck, I hope this helps.
