You can receive all the Free to Air stuff like BBC and ITV. To receive the Free to View channels (Ch4 & Ch5) you need a card but NOT a Sky Subscription. FTV (FreeSat from Sky) cards can be bought from Sky for about £20. Or an old expired subscription card will revert to a FTV card.
