Its likely to be a faulty air pressure switch. This senses the fan is running when it should be. It is a remote possability it is a slightly blocked venturi. This is built into the fan.
This needs checking out by someone Corgi reg.

Sounds like the tubes to the air pressureswitch are clogged up.Isolate from the electricity,remove the cover,connected to the fan you'll see some tubing,remove these,and blow out,then replace.While you're at it,make sure the seal around the casing is sound as well.
