Some of my radiators are hot and others are cold?

Hi, I've just had someone come and fix my potterton netaheat boiler and fit it with a new motorised valve. The problem was that the radiators were coming on even when the heating was switched off. After it was fixed the problem was still there so he came out again and carried out some more work (not sure what). Now some of my radiators are hot - all upstairs are okay and some of the downstairs ones are cold. What's wrong and can I fix it myself?

Hi. The. Radiators in my living room and bedroom are stone cold, where as all the others are hot. Both rooms are at each end of the bungalow. It was a cold night last night and I am wondering if the pipe in the loft has frozen that feeds both the radiators.

hi,some of our radiators downstairs are only warm where as the others upstairs are as hot as they normally get.ive bled them all and the pressure in the boiler is up as normal.please,anyone...any ideas???

rads getting warm when only hot water should be on
is due to faulty valve. Turn off those rads if you dont
want expense.
I have problem of some hot some cold rads. It may be sludge in system or possibly the pump which either
needs cleaning out or replacing. Remove rads and flush with hose in garden. Then put in an inhibitor
in system either in tank or in top of radiator

Hi, the problem is that when the heating is switched on, some of the radiators are hot and others are cold, but I think I've fixed the issue. I opened all the valves (not the thermostatic ones, the other valve) on the radiators and then part closed them off according to which radiators got hot first and this seems to have fixed the issue.

Julie, I'm not sure I understand the question, as I cannot see how a radiator can come on when the boiler is not running?
Are you saying that the radiators come on, when you run your hot water?
Or, are you saying that your home is "Zoned" and that radiators come on when they are not supposed too?
