Hi Melvin, you dont say what year your car is so diagnosis is limited but if you disconnect the battery dont forget the radio code! this will make the ECU revert to its preset memory and the car will not drive normally for the first 20 miles while it relearns the settings and as to fault finding this is dependant on year as some can be done by shorting out some connectors and others require a diagnostic code reader.
