Hot water OK but no C.H?

I have a 2 years old Ferolli 24 combi boiler. The C.H just stopped working although the hot water supply continued as normal. The gauge operating pressure was 1.2b.
Have tried turning the on/off/reset button to reset and holding for a few seconds. This sometimes causes the C.H to restart and run for a few seconds before cutting out. I have overidden the pre-set daily program and also increased system pressure to 2.6bar by opening the fill valve which is probably too high - how do I lower it?

the quick fill loop generally is connected to c/h flow/return & then to the main. but should only be connected while fillng boiler.remove once filled. because of contamination. put hose on c/h flow/return whichever has connection & just open valve & release pressure ,remember for boiler to be off.take down to nearly !/2 bar to 1 bar that should be adequate enough. it may be going off at high pressure /high limit
due to no movement of flow.

firstly check that the pump is running. just take a screw driver & place the tip of the screwdiver on the centre othe the pump. usually on the venting screw located on the face of the pump. & the handle end to your ear. this will detect any vibration from the pump. if not just turn the vent centre screw anti clockwise until detached, it is common for water to come out of this hole, so dont worry, youy can then see if pump is turning. but it also sounds like your diverter valve has gone.
