Oil fired boiler thermostat?

I have a Velaire 110/135 oil fired domestic boiler. I think the boiler thermostat may be faulty. The manual says its a "Boiler thermostat C26". I have found a Ranco CL6 PO117 which looks like it might be the right part(?) but no longer available.
Is there an equivalent part that would do the job?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
Bob.

It looks like the only difference is the length of the capillary tube. The one in the link is 134 mm and your item is 117 mm.

These folk may help too.
