Would it be considered dangerous to clamp a piece of 50 x 25mm timber batten along side my table saw fence to stop the unclamped end of the fence from 'flexing' when trying to cut MDF boards about 400mm wide. I cut some today and because of the 'flexing' of the fence it's not square.
You could do that quite safely or take the fence off and just clamp the wood on,why not just clamp the free end of the fence to the table? As long as the fence is square to the blade and clamped firmly it should be safe.
