i have had a bmw318is stood in a garage for 3 years and have just moved house i lost my key and fob in the prosess, i now have a new key from bmw but they have said it will cost me 170 pound to to reactivate a new fob. is their any way to bypass this untill i have a bit more money.thanks

Hi, I had a fault on my Frontera ,it would not start.I ended up taking out my energy management system unit and getting a company to overide the alarm in the software and removing a pin on the unit,works ok without alarm but.........it cost me £150 quid... because i could not get the wiring information anywhere ,hope this helps..
