How can I change the door seal on my Tricity Bendix AW850?

I have bought a new door seal for my Tricity Bendix AW850 but cannot get the old one out. I have got the front plastic ring off but can't see where the back of it is held in. Any answers?

push your fingers hard downwards just where rubber meets grey plastic drum and then pull whole gasket towards yourself.when it comes of you will see what was holding it on (metal spring band).putting it on is even more hastle!!!
