My car has just last week developed big oil leak coming from drivers side under bonnet. I cannot locate exactly where it is coming from. can anyone suggest helpfully to a female driver - apart from the garage - how i can fix it - it seems to be coming from near the alternator but thats as good as i know.

I had a similar problem on a fiesta it turned out to be the sump pan had rusted through and the oil was constantly dripping out the only sure fix was to replace the sump pan
