How to fix my CD-Rom on my computer. HP Pavilion?

My CD quit working. I have dial up at present but want to add SBC Yahoo! DSL.

Repairing a CD-Rom isnt very practical its cheaper to buy a new one
they only cost about £12. simply remove the old unit and put in the new one, making sure its set to slave/master whatever the old unit is set to.

Your yahoo settings are out of date - what does that mean? WHAT settings?
