Few days ago I found in bush a HP nc6400 laptop with broken screen. When turned on, sounds like it's working (at least fans work), but there's not a little flash on the screen. I never used a laptop before, but as for me, it looks like it's locked by fingerprint or sth. On top of that when I plugged extra monitor there was no input signal... Can someone tell me is ther any chance to rescue this laptop?

I was on police station, they said I can take it and I called numbers I found in the bag, but there was no response. So I ask again. Is there any chance to unlock it?

why not hand it in to the local police station.
It dosen't belong to to you. that may have been part of a serious crime? and it now has your prints all over it. do the rifght thing.
