hoover washer-dryer NEXTRA 6+4?

My Hoover washer-dryer continue to take water even after switching off, which result in flooding.what type of fault it is and is it posible to fix it/

could be 2 causes 1st an inlet valve is letting water in, proof turn water off & recheck, cure renew the water valve at fault .2nd the waste outlet is to low if on a sink u/bend fitting & dirty water from sink is dropping into the machine.
