How can I set timer on a boiler that is not digital?

Hi, my boiler has got a timer but i do not know how to set it. The timer is not digital but the traditional ring. Can anyone help please?

A bit vague.....has the timer plastic tappets that you can move inwards or outwards to govern the timed on period, or maybe there are plastic arrows that can be moved around the rim once you've pressed them in?
