Ariston CDX-710?

My Ariston CDX-710 cd player is fully functional with the exception that the display has gone out so I cannot tell what track is playing.

Does anyone know if it is an easy problem to fix and how to do it?

Any help would be appreciated as it is a great sounding cd player and it would be a shame to have to get a new one.
