The TV has sound but no picture. How can we correct the problem? We have called several repair shops and they do not work on this TV. Can you help.

Switching AV to "out" totally worked. I hadn't been able to use the player for over a year, figuring the spinner was broken. I just looked it up... and thanks to Yelena in Sep of '05 for posting this info!

I just called their warranty center with this problem. They told me to toggle the A/V switch on the right-hand side of the player (next to the volume control wheel) to the "out" position. They said it's not in the manual but they get about 100 calls each day with this same problem. Hope it helps!

You could always send it to polaroidelectronics.com and for $95 us (you have to ship them the old one) you can get a brand new unit!

Polaroid portable DVD player model 0700.
The screen will not show the DVD. The DVD will play, you can listen to it, but the picture is very faint. It will come in clear for a few seconds and then fades out again.

I don't have an answer but I think I know the problem as I also have it. The part that the DVD itself sits on is probably gone, pulled off when you removed a DVD. I have been unable to find anyplacer to get this piece of Sh-- repaired.
