How can I fix my heating and hot water boiler? Ideal Mexico Super RS65?

The pilot light keeps going out. On average, a couple of times per week ~ and there was a 24 hour period when it went out 3 times ~ but have always been able to relight it by following the 'To Light the Boiler' instructions on the inside of the front boiler cover. Until now!

The ignition spark is visible when I push in and release the ignition button (B). Earlier, when I removed the observation window I could smell gas when I depressed the gas control knob (C).

I have now replaced the observation window as carefully as I can but, ideally, the spongy insulation between the window and the casing of the boiler wants replacing although it does seem to be airtight with the butterfly nuts tightly screwed.

The common denominator SEEMS to be when it is windy (which it is today) and I have just put up a temporary wind shield over the exterior grill and I am following the 'To Light the Boiler' instructions again, but with no success.

Since early February, I have had four engineers looking at it and one of them has replaced what I think he called, the “Thermo couple”. The others could not truly identify the problem. They kept on saying, “It could be that”. I cannot afford to call them out any more at their prices. Please advise.

the pilot might need cleaning , as the flame acts on the thremocouple and if the pilot is slightly short it can cause u probs .... u will need a corgi engineer 2 clean the pilot injector

possibly gas valve is at fault,it sounds as though it has a weak magnet, not holding the pilot light
