Any ideas on how to fix my CD player in my Dodge Intrepid. It plays fine but skips to different disc numbers at random. Frustrating when listening to audio books.

Well you might need to replace it, my Intrepid's cd player had disks in it but showed that no disks were loaded, lol. Took the CD's out, but 1 in started it up and it started smoking, the motor died. Now I'm driving without CD player. :( Try unplugging it and plugging it back in, does the drick some time.
