I have a single CD player. When CD is inserted, there is a 20 second pause, then the player ejects the CD and code Er 6 appears. The radio works ok. I called Hyundai and they say this code means the CD is not being read by the player. I tried a different CD and even a cleaner disc without luck. I am 3 months out of warranty. Any help is appreciated as I don't want to spend a bunch of money at a dealership. Anybody else have this problem?

My Hyundai XG350 2002 has done the same thing, they said that I would have to replace the whole radio assemble for a thousand dollars. I went to Walmart and for 40.00 dollars I got a cd player that will play a cd thur the cassette player. It works great, better than a thousand dollars out of my pocket. I just had to pay 1,035.00 for a climate control box, that did,nt fix the air conditioner. I had to put it back in the shop for them to put a 25.00 dollar thermostat in it. I don,t need a cd player that bad.
