NOT GETTING FUEL?

I have a STIHL saw modle# 020AV . carburator is not getting fuel .I cleaned the fuel filter inside the tank and put new gas in and had aspray bottle with fuel and sprayed the carb air intake ,the saw ran while doing this,so why does the saw not keep on running?

HI TRY TO GET THE FUEL LINE OUT THEN GET A AIR LINE TO BLOW BLOCKAGE OUT THIS SHOULD WORK

Either your needle is stuck, your screen in the carburetor is plugged up with laquer, the pump diaphram is hardened or the other diaphram is hardened. It could be a number of things. Your fuel line could be sucking flat.

sounds like the fuels not making it past the float in the carb ! take the bowl off the bottom of the carb and make sure the float moves up and down(bit like cistern float in a toilet) spray it with carb cleaner also remove the mixture screw counting the turns as u go and give the jet on the end a clean . this may work its worth a go, regards dan
