How do I fix the clutch on my Cusinart blender?

Like every other Cuisinart SPB-7CH the clutch broke. After months of trying to get Cuisinart to send me a new one they finally did, although there were no instructions on how to get the brass nut off (the brass nut is still on the stem that is attached to the motor). I need to get this nut off in order to attached the new clutch (which has a new brass nut inserted in it. Any help here?

I just successfully fixed mine. Here's how. Turn the motor unit upside down and remove the three screws in the bottom. Lift the plastic bottom section. Remove the motor unit, making sure not to damage the wires going to the motor.

Attach a pair of vice grips to the shaft, and another pair (or a small pipe wrench) to the nut. If you've got them attached tightly, it'll be easy to get the nut loose.

Reassemble everything and set the motor unit right-side up. Then you can finger-tighten the new clutch on the stem.

My blender is sitting on my counter in the same condition, I can't for the life of me figure out how to get that nut off. Have you figured it out yet?
