Can not disassemble the case to get to the pull start string. I Already went to a link suggested in another forum, but the "page no longer exists or has moved"!? (See below.)

I have a CS30 Ryobi Piece of S***. The SECRET to fixing the rope pull is a 9/64 long reach ALLEN Wrench (Key). Remove all screws that hold the plastic housing on both front and back.
Look in the back at the piston connecting arm, insert a piece of wood against the arm so the shaft won't turn when you try to unscrew the ALLEN Screw which is located inside DRUM CONNECTOR #33 on this print.

I have a Ryobi RGH 600 that sudenly stopped working. I have pulled it apart and I have come to the conclusion that something is jamming in the pull start as the pistons and cylinders look OK. Why could not you get parts to fix your machine?

What a day! Found out the HARD WAY there's no way to repair it!!! Should have bought another unit while "asking" what I could do do fix mine!!! I've had many Ryobi 30cc trimmers over the years, but this was the easiest, newest, most reliable to use w/my attatchments. It's a surprize that it's instantly "junk"...
