bobbin thread wrapping up?

I have a older model Singer industrial sewing machine and I was sewing and it made a popping sound. Now the bobbin thread keeps wrapping up around the bobbin case and the needle will not pick it up. I have to keep taking off the top plate cleaning it out but it still won't sew a stitch. I didn't take out the needle and I know the bobbin is in correct. Any suggestions?

Hello Glenna,
Ity sounds like the machine has gone out of time, you will need to check the raceway first in case the needle has damaged the racewey, I can give you timing instructions if you e-mail me, too much information to type up all the time, I have it typed up for an attachment.
